  • There’s a very large dosing range - where some people do well with small dosing, some do well with medium dosing, and others do well with larger dosing regimens.
  • It’s recommend to start with a small dose and then gradually increase until you find the desired effects that you’re looking for.
  • CBD products can cause drowsiness, do not drive or operate machinery while taking CBD Products until you know the effects on your body.

Here are some common dosing regimens (remember these might not be the right dosing for you)

  • General health - 5 mg - 15 mg a day
  • Chronic pain or inflammation - 5 mg - 20 mg a day
  • Sleep disorders - 40 mg - 160 mg

How long does it last? (remember these are general and it could last longer or less.

  • Edibles / Ingestion - lasts 6 - 8 hours and has a slow onset
  • Vape / Smoke - lasts 1 - 4 hours and has a fast onset
  • Oils / Tinctures - lasts 1 - 4 hours and has a fast onset
  • Topical - it's not as clear how long it lasts, but you can apply liberally. It's still recommended to start with a small amount so you don’t waste it.

No! One of the wonderful things about CBD is once you find your ideal dose, you can stay at this dose without the need to increase!

Dosing for CBD Edibles

1. Start with a low dose of 5 - 10 mg, a couple times of day.
- Do this for 7 days
- Note your reactions, feelings, mood, and appetite

If you’re trying CBD for a specific reason, has there been any noticeable improvement or differences? If no, move to step 2.

2. Increase the amount by 5 - 10 mg, still at a couple times a day.
- Do this for 7 days
- Note your reactions, feelings, mood, and appetite

Repeat step 2 until you find the desired effects you’re looking for.

Dosing for CBD Oils / Tinctures / Sublinguals

1. Starting with a small dosage as low as 1 mg per day can improve overall well-being but, for those with more serious ailments (such as arthritis or anxiety) might want to start anywhere from 5 - 10 mg. NOTE - be conscious to the fact that everyone has varying reactions to different supplements.

- Repeat dosage for 7 days
- Note improvement of conditions (i.e. reduction in pain and/or anxiety)

If you’re not noticing any improvements, especially if you are using CBD for ailments, move on to step 2.

2. Increase dosage in small increments of 2.5-10 mg per day.
- Repeat dosage for 7 days
- Note conditions

Repeat step 2 until you find the desired effects you're looking for.

Common dosages for the treatment of ailments with CBD Oil:
*Remember everyone is different, these doses might not work for you.

  • Chronic pain: 2.5-25 mg per day
  • Epilepsy: 200-300 mg per day
  • Sleep disorders: 40-160 mg per day
  • Glaucoma: 20-40 mg per day, anything larger than 40 mg can actually increase eye pressure
