**Our honey is not certified organic and there are a few reasons for this ! The main one is that bees are adventurers and often forage up to 3-5miles from their hives. Therefore, we have no control over where they get nectar and pollen. We strive to educate and inform about the importance of organic farming and the effects harsh chemicals have on our beautiful eco-system.

Frequently Asked Questions?
The properties of honey change based on the flowers the bees foraged on. Honey gets its color, smell, texture, and taste from the nectar and pollen that a hive gathers to make it. A hive can produce different types of honey from season to season.
Light honey has a milder and softer sweetness, while dark honey comes with a bolder and richer sweet flavor. Think of it as similar to comparing white sugar with brown sugar wherein white sugar is just plainly sweet while brown sugar has a more complex flavor profile.
Raw honey naturally crystallizes. The honey will go back to a liquid state when it’s warmed up. You can either gently warm up the jar with warm water or just warm up the spoonful you are using.
Raw honey is best described as honey “as it exists in the beehive”. It is made by extracting honey from the honeycombs of the hive and pouring it over a mesh or nylon cloth to separate the honey from impurities like beeswax and dead bees. Once strained, raw honey is bottled and ready to be enjoyed. On the other hand, the production of regular honey involves several more steps before it is bottled — such as pasteurization and filtration.
Raw honey has many benefits. It is a good source of antioxidants, it has antibacterial & antifungal properties, and helps provide burn and wound healing on the skin.
Yes! Using raw honey on your face can work as a treatment for acne, scarring, and dull or dry skin. Raw honey is more expensive than other kinds of honey, but it's relatively inexpensive compared to other skin cosmetics for your face.
No! 100% untreated honey does not expire as long as it is in a sealed container and stored in a cool, dry place.
Yes, if you need a little extra sweetness, completely raw honey (like our Happy Honey!) is better than sugar as it contains more nutrients, enzymes, vitamins, and antioxidants than sugar. It is worth noting that honey does have slightly more calories than sugar, but it is also sweeter so you will need less of it!
Yes! 100% untreated raw honey can be good for you in moderation. It has nutrients, vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants that have been shown to improve your immune system.
Honey starts from flower nectar, which is collected by bees. The nectar is brought back to the hive and passed on to house bees who chew it up and pass it from bee to bee. This mixture has too much water so the bees usually fan it and dry it out to remove the excess water. This eventually becomes honey which is placed in the cell of the honeycomb and capped with beeswax for storage until it is ready to be eaten by the bees!
Our honey comes from our farm in Merced and several other farms around the central coast of California. It is 100% sustainably harvested raw honey.
